Most jobs are a new drive. Plenty also take in a patio, paths, turf or tidying up an old surface. We do all of it ourselves.
Why our drives last
Most of what you're paying for is underground
A new surface looks good on day one whoever lays it. Whether it still looks good in ten years comes down to the layers you never see.
Round here a lot of the ground is heavy clay. It holds water in winter and shrinks in a dry summer, and drives laid on a thin base crack, rut and sink. We dig out to firm ground, build the sub-base up in compacted layers and set the falls so water goes where it should. That's the part we don't cut corners on.

How much does a new drive cost?
It depends on the size, the surface and how much groundwork there is, so we don't quote blind. We'll come out, measure up and give you a written, itemised price that includes digging out, the base, the surface and taking all the waste away. Say QUOTE TT when you enquire for 15% off this November.
Is the survey really free?
Yes. No charge and no pressure. We'll look at the job, talk through the options and send you a written quote afterwards.
What does the 5-year guarantee cover?
Our workmanship on every drive and patio we lay. If something we've done fails, we come back and put it right at no cost.
Do I need planning permission for a front drive?
Not usually, as long as the surface is permeable (resin-bound, permeable block or gravel) or the water drains into a border or lawn on your own property. A new or wider dropped kerb needs approval from the council.
